Dr. Monica Boehmer
With 20 years in her own private practice, Dr. Boehmer is committed to providing excellence in dental care. She received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. After graduating, she went on to obtain her doctorate degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. A life long learner, Dr. Boehmer has her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. She has well over 600 hours of continuing education, with 400 hours in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and 150 hours of study with Dr. J.W. Skip Truitt at the Clinical Foundation of Orthopedics and Orthodontics. Dr. Boehmer is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Mexico Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Boehmer believes in a sense of balance between her personal
and professional lives. Although a chronic back injury keeps
her from her former passion of being a professional ballet
dancer, she continues to maintain her strong mind, strong body
balance by participating in lower impact sports such as road
biking, skiing, and scuba diving, which she shares with her
husband. She also enjoys a good book and a hot cup of tea by
the fire.
Administrative Staff
The first people you meet when you call or step into our practice is our office administrators, Rachal Martinez and Nikki Hoyt. They have a wealth
of knowledge about clinical dentistry as well as dental insurance
and payment matters. Friendliness is their trademark. They are always ready and willing to coordinate treatment appointments,
explain dental procedures and obtain answers to all of your
questions, creating an atmosphere that puts you at ease.
Our Dental Staff
Once you sit in one of our dental chairs,
you will meet other members of our dental team. Hygienists
Roberta Harwell and Janice Nichols will take excellent care
of you when examining and cleaning your teeth. Their primary
concern is to help you maintain the health of your teeth and
gums. Their knowledge of dentistry allows them to answer many
of the questions you may have about maintaining or improving
your smile.
Dental assistants, and Sarajean McCarty are exceptionally skilled at assisting Dr. Boehmer in a variety of procedures.
It is evident that patient care is their priority the minute
you meet them! Administrative and Technical assistants, Leonie
Boehmer and Steve Kemp, provide our team with part-time relief
when the team is mired in paperwork or technologically challenged
with the integration of new equipment or computer software
advances.
Everyone on our dental team believes in staying on top of dental advances and continuing their education. Our entire team annually attends a national convention to enhance our knowledge and expertise. The most recent convention attended was the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry (a regional event in Santa Fe)
